Over the past decade, there’s been a boom in retirement communities and senior living facilities. But caring for Seattle-area seniors is nothing new to us—we’ve being doing just that for over half a century. Notice we used the word “caring.”
While we believe updated, comfortable and safe facilities are a must, even more important is the care and dignity each of our residents experience every day.
At Norse Home, personal attention makes all the difference.
Norse Home is a non-profit, non-sectarian retirement home, offering equal housing opportunities for both retirement and assisted living.
Since we opened in 1957, many have enjoyed that feeling of community in our secure and comfortable environment.
The mission of Norse Home is to provide this opportunity to individuals or couples 55 or older who wish to enjoy and make the most of their leisure time that retirement affords them. As part of this mission, Norse Home offers an assisted living program that meets the needs of seniors as their capabilities diminish from the process of aging. The Board of Trustees and Administration endeavor to achieve this mission through the following objectives:
Establish and sustain an environment that maximizes the potential of later life, while meeting emotional, physical, social and spiritual needs of our residents.
Encourage maximum independence of residents consistent with their safety and well-being with appropriate social services and an interesting and a variety of leisure activities.
Focus on long-range planning so that Norse Home can continue to provide a quality environment and services for the needs of our residents.
Recruit, train and maintain a staff that is hopeful, dedicated, interested, and passionate about offering residents the best lives they can live.
Maintain our community at the most reasonable and equitable cost possible without compromising quality.
